Featured in this recorded live production are stories of animals. From Finn the dog to a world-renowned giraffe, these stories are full of animals that you'll want to hear about. You will also hear a story from Paul Strickland, that week's teller for Storytelling Live at the International Storytelling Center. Thank you to Off Leash Social, who sponsored the show. They offer a bar and dog park experience in nearby Johnson City. The show includes music from the Sweetwater Troubadours, local favorites who describe their sound as an “eclectic assortment of tunes from the crazy quilt background of a honky tonk/bluegrass musician, wedded to a classical/folk musician with a West Indian twist.” They “give you country to calypso, old English ballade to medieval incantation – with originals thrown into the mix playing traditional Appalachian and Celtic music.” With special guests: Humane Society The production took place on May 27th at the Jonesborough Visitors Center. StoryTown is sponsored by Allandale Mansion with the City of Kingsport, the Tennessee Arts Commission, Gary and Sandee Degner, Trivia with Budds, the Silver Raven,Mountain Empire Cremation and Burial Services, and Off the Leash.
