Ford vs. Ford: In 1840's Jonesboro, this was a landmark case in establishing rights for people of color 20 years before the end of the Civil War. Dr. Hezekiah Hankal establishes churches and schools, and is the first person of color elected to Johnson City's Board of Aldermen. And a history of the Melungeon People by Wayne Winkler.
