Episode Summary

You'll hear about a woman born with a veil on her face, who could sometimes glimpse the future. You'll hear about doctor Cunningham, who brought the railroad to Jonesborough, and performed the first mastectomy this side of the mountains, on the kitchen table of his home office in the mid 1800's. Mountain States Health Alliance (now Ballad Health) provides stories from their volunteers and staff. You'll hear about The Cookie Lady of Sycamore Shoals Hospital; Lady, the Therapy Dog- and many other therapy pets. There are also stories of how laughter is the best medicine of all. The Jonesborough Novelty Band are the special musical guests.
