Jonesborough is known for its incredible hospitality and dedication to providing service since its founding in 1779. From the town’s earliest beginnings with David Deaderick’s store established in the 1780's, which provided "Everything from pantaloons to spectacles to razors, cloth, and other sundries," Jonesborough has always strived to provide for the needs and wants of the community. Deaderick’s store along with the Chester Inn (established 1797), provided for the needs. Other places provided for the “wants”, like the Andrew Jackson Tavern, the saloon, Buddy Gresham’s Hotel & Store (which during the 1930’s was the only place to purchase bubble gum), as well as Jarman’s Shoes and Dobyns-Taylor. Today’s innovative and service-oriented people like Deb Kruse and Anna Floyd at the Corner Cup Coffee Shop, Katelyn and Blake Yarbrough of the Historic Eureka Inn and Eureka Bites, and Stephen and Jessica Callahan with Tennessee Hills Distillery continues to keep the tradition of service alive in Jonesborough. (And continue to keep us laughing with their stories "from the inside.") This show first aired on April 23, 2018.
